What Is Seichim?
Seichim pronounced ‘Say-Keem’ is both a type of energy and also an energy healing practice. Like most energy healing practices, Seichim is not a religion.
What Are The Origins Of Seichim?
The practice of Seichim, as we know it today, was developed by Patrick Zeigler. Patrick is an American who visited Egypt in the late 1970s. Patrick first experienced the Seichim energies spontaneously while actually within the Great Pyramid of Giza. Following this experience/spontaneous initiation, Patrick spent the next few years learning from Sufi mystics and eventually developed Seichim as we know it today.
As Patrick received his spontaneous initiation within the Great Pyramid of Giza, it is said that Seichim is Egyptian in origin. It is Egyptian if you look at the location it was received, however, the actual energies are probably not strictly Egyptian. The Ancient Egyptians indeed could have used these energies (they had a form called Sekhem). Although the way in which Patrick received the energies and the way the energies feel it could have been from a Tibetan Buddhist empowerment (of course these energies could have been borrowed from the Ancient Egyptians to start with).
Tibetan Buddhists are known to use empowerments to pass on abilities and Patrick could have spontaneously received one of these types of empowerments. The energies of Seichim are often described as feminine, powerful, compassionate, loving, and nurturing. These are all qualities of Tara and even Quan Yin.
The Practice Of Seichim Is Similar To Reiki
It appears that Patrick may have borrowed heavily from Reiki regarding how to practice, the attunement process and some of the symbols. However, the energies of Seichim are different including some symbols and concepts.
One thing that you will notice about Seichim is that there are so many variations and offshoots of the system. Due to the prolific expansion of Seichim systems, it is often difficult to fully know what the lineage is or indeed who may have created that form of Seichim.
